We are excited to be back after 2020 COVID pause!
We are thrilled to be back for our sixth tour after having to cancel in 2020. We are going ahead with planning to hold our tour in 2021. We are moving the event to August 21st this year to allow more riders, volunteers and community supporters to have had the opportunity to receive the COVID vaccine.
Our planning team will be monitoring the public health guidance for our area as we approach the ride date. Adjustments will be made as needed to maximize everyone's health and safety while also trying to keep it fun for all!
Riders will still have the 100, 50, and 25 mile options as well as a newly revised Metric century that tracks alongside friends partaking in other routes, allowing you to ride with them for roughly the first half of your metric century. The modular, Pick-A-Loop (PAL) routes are also available for riders.
In light of continued uncertainty surrounding the safety of public gatherings, the Central Rest Stop will have a scaled back offering of packaged snacks. We are pleased to welcome back the Pop-up Bike Shop by our partner, Bike Box, to assist with minor repairs at the Rest Stop. We will do our best to offer a safe event this year before, hopefully, getting back to our traditional Father's Day tour in 2022.
We look forward to seeing LWQCC veterans and newbies out on our beautiful country roads!
We hope that riders know of the IMPACT they are having by jumping on the road. The LWQCC is the primary fundaiser for Renewing Homes of Greater Augusta - a critical home repair nonprofit based in Staunton. All riders are helping ensure that vulnerable homeowners in Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County, VA, all have a safe and healthy place to call home. Register today and support this vital mission!
